When a user uses either the mobile app or web widget, CitySourced receives the location either from dropping a pin on a map or a user submitted postal address. This location information is then passed through a reverse geocoding API to provide a human-readable address.
For geocoding and reverse geocoding, our system defaults to using Google's services. If you haven't swapped out Google's service, to use your own (see below) and you're not seeing address location data, that's because Google doesn't have the most recent information. This information is outside CitySourced's control and we recommend you submit that data directly to Google.
Our customers may also elect to swap out our default Google geocoding service, in order to use their own authoritative GIS data. Please contact support to learn more.
